New clients continue care with this provider

Welcome! My name is Paola, and I’m here to help you navigate your healing journey with warmth, compassion, and understanding. I believe that we all have a story, and I’m committed to growing and learning with you as you process yours. My focus is on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can truly feel heard, seen, and accepted—just as you are.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session with me, the client can expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere where my goal is for them to feel safe and comfortable. The client and I will focus on establishing trust and rapport, so we'll spend some time getting to know each other. The clinician will then begin by inviting clients to share their story and what brings them to therapy. My goal is for the therapy room to be an open space for them to express their concerns, experiences, and any specific goals they have in mind. I believe in the importance of listening deeply, so I’ll be attentive and empathetic, validating their feelings and experiences. By the end of the session, the client can expect to have a better understanding of what therapy can offer and how we might work together to support their healing journey. My aim is for the client to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about your healing journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a Latina clinician, I believe my greatest strengths lie in my deep understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds and my ability to connect with clients on a personal level. My own experiences inform my empathetic and non-judgmental approach, allowing me to create a safe space where clients feel valued and understood. Being immersed in multiple cultures in Miami, FL has enriched my perspective, enabling me to appreciate the nuances of different experiences and values. This cultural sensitivity helps me build strong therapeutic alliances with clients from various backgrounds, fostering trust and openness. Additionally, my person-centered approach emphasizes active listening and genuine curiosity. I strive to understand each client’s unique patterns and experiences, guiding them to explore their feelings and motivations. This collaborative process allows clients to discover their strengths and develop a healthier, more empowered version of themselves. Ultimately, my goal is to inspire hope and resilience, helping clients navigate their healing journeys while feeling supported every step of the way.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

As a mental health clinician with five years of experience focusing on trauma, my goal is to serve individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, whether from childhood, relationships, or significant life events. My ideal clients are those seeking a warm, empathetic space where they can explore their feelings and experiences without judgment, much like the supportive environments. I connect particularly well with individuals who may feel overwhelmed by their emotions or struggle to find their voice and identity after traumatic experiences. My approach is rooted in compassion, creating a strong therapeutic alliance that encourages healing and self-discovery. Ultimately, my goal is to empower clients to navigate their healing journey with understanding, respect, and a shared cultural connection.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I primarily work with my clients to help them process traumatic grief, loss, and hardship. My approach centers on empowering my clients to find new meaning in their experiences and reclaim the personal power they may have lost along the way. With specialized training in EMDR, TIR (Traumatic Incident Reduction), and Trauma-Focused CBT, I provide tailored support to help you process your trauma and move forward. One of my clients shared, “You’ve been with me through all of my hardships and have accepted me as I am and where I am at.” That’s exactly the kind of space I want to create for you—a place where you feel safe, valued, and never judged.
