New to Grow
Life can be challenging, and it's easy to feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. I believe therapy isn't about eliminating every difficult thought or emotion - it's about learning how to respond to life's challenges in ways that align with your values and help you build a rich, meaningful life. My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. I strive to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted while also helping you identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we'll explore your values, build on your strengths, develop practical tools, and work toward meaningful, lasting change to help you move toward the life you want, feeling more balanced and fulfilled even when life feels uncertain or difficult.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to help you feel comfortable from the beginning. Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore what's bringing you to therapy, what's most important to you, and what you'd like your life to look like moving forward. We'll discuss your current challenges, your strengths, and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Using a variety of therapeutic frameworks including ACT, CBT and Mindfulness, we'll begin identifying the values that matter most to you and develop goals that move you toward the life you want to live - not just away from the problems you're experiencing.
I believe meaningful change happens when we stop fighting against every difficult thought or feeling and begin focusing our energy on living the life we want. My role is to help you develop the flexibility to navigate life's inevitable challenges while staying connected to what matters most to you. Clients often describe me as warm, genuine, and easy to talk to. I listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and offer honest feedback when it helps you gain new perspective. While therapy is a place to feel supported, it's also a place to grow. Together, we'll explore new ways of responding to life's challenges so that fear, self doubt, or painful experiences don't get to make your decisions for you. My goal isn't simply to help you feel better in the moment - it's to help you build a life that feels richer, more connected, and guided by your values, even when life isn't easy.
I work best with adults and older adults who are navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, grief, caregiver responsibilities, chronic illness, age-related concerns, retirement, relationship challenges, burnout, or changes that leave them feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Many of my clients are highly responsible people who spend much of their energy caring for others, balancing family responsibilities, or adjusting to significant life changes, and have difficulty making room for their own needs. I have extensive experience helping family caregivers, individuals living with chronic medical conditions, and adults adjusting to major life transitions. My approach is collaborative, practical and compassionate. Together we identify what matters most to you, increase awareness of the patterns that keep you feeling stuck, and develop skies to respond more effectively to difficult thoughts and emotions rather than being controlled by them. Therapy is focused on helping you build resilience, strengthen relationships, clarify your values, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want to create. I strive to create a warm, affirming and nonjudgemental environment where clients from all backgrounds feel respected, understood, supported and empowered. Whether you're facing a specific challenge or simply want to live more intentionally and with greater peace, we'll work together to help you build a life that reflects what matters most to you, while moving forward with greater confidence, flexibility, and purpose.
