(she/her)
If you're in need of a concerned and respectful therapist, I'm the person for you. I help people struggling with anxiety, addiction, depression and relationship issues. I’ve accomplished over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a graduate degree from University of Tennessee and 10 additional years of experience specific to justice-related mental health counseling. I am the ideal therapist for someone interested in reaching goals and becoming their best version. I’m empathetic and can relate to life experiences and be open and honest in giving feedback and suggestions. A therapist with active listening skills is essential for clients to be heard. Being heard and understood without judgement is a major step in the healing process.
The first session will be an introduction of where we need to go. I want to hear what you want. I want to guide your journey and we will develop a plan of action and take those baby steps to achieve specific and measurable goals.
I’m relatable to a diverse population, crossing over any racial, ethnic, economic, spiritual or cultural backgrounds. I respect people for who they are and I promote a safe and secure environment for self-expression and can gain rapport quickly with being open-minded and non-judgmental.
I work with a diverse group of clients who seek healing and the need to achieve goals. I specialize in relationship issues with a diverse population. Experienced with addiction, anxiety and depression. Supportive to clients identifying as neurodivergent and allied with LGBTQ. Supporting faith-based as well as clients struggling with divorce and grief. Primary focus is to build self-esteem, independence and confidence.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use cognitive -behavioral therapy to help clients decrease negative thought patterns. Reviewing cognitive distortions that could have resulted from trauma in relationships and early childhood. I have proven success in using therapy to improve outcomes which can be seen with a reduced PHQ-9 depression scale and GAD-7 anxiety scale. Clients have surveyed and spoken of improvements in self-care as well as an ability to have an improved quality of life.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I work with solution focused therapy guiding and directing towards clients interested in reaching goals and focused on future results and outcomes. Coping skills and tackling specific goals is essential.
Supportive
Providing a support system is important for clients in need of an objective assessment of needs as well as guidance and feedback. In many cases a non-judgmental clinician can gain rapport which provides a comfortable environment for expression and exploration of traumatic events.
Attachment-based
Attachment styles addressed can help in addressing maladaptive behaviors in relationships.
Eclectic
I’m experienced in being eclectic and I hone into the needs of the person. Everyone has individualized and specific goals to have a successful therapeutic journey. I have used elements of attachment theory, the Gottman method (love languages), psycho education, cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, solution-focused therapy, anger management, and reviewed career issues that stunt job morale and performance.

I'm really happy that I chose Jackie as my therapist. My first session was just like what all the other reviewers said. She's warm, friendly, humorous, very attentive and a great listener. I'm already looking forward to my next session with her.

Jackie has been a great help in my therapy journey. I am happy to have found a provider that not only can understand me but also understands what I need to tackle the challenges I face. She has been so warm and always leaves me surprised at the connections she makes from past information to my current issues.
