LMSW-C, 1 years of experience
Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Michigan. I received my Masters from Wayne State University specializing in interpersonal therapy specifically with couples and family issues. I have been working in community mental health over 10 years. I help women of color struggling with relationship issues, parenting, career stress, and burnout to become the best versions of themselves by enhancing their communication and developing coping skills.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Some of my greatest strengths are being an active listener, being openminded and developing trusting relationships. I have over a decade of experience assisting clients with developing goals and objectives that leads to measurable progress.
I love working with women of color who are looking to have a better quality of life by learning to balance work and life. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their responsibilities and looking to balance it all.

I don’t like the idea of being in therapy. I have always dealt with whatever was thrown at me. If I can change something, I do and if I can’t I figure what I can do to better the situation and do it. Until I hit a major traumatic event. She is not my first therapist in my attempt to work through this, but I do get a lot out of our sessions. Naturally, I do most of the talking, but when she talks I don’t feel like she’s trying to tell me what to do or lead me in a certain direction. I really feel like she’s trying is providing guidance and helping me determine what is best for me.
I would use interpersonal therapy to assist my clients with improving their communication skills and social relationships.
