Hi, I'm Angela. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Supervisor with over 20 years of experience. I help people with many issues like trauma, anxiety, relationship problems, chronic illness, caregiver/parenting support, life changes, and stress from helping jobs. My work experience includes treatment of children, teens, and adults. My therapy approach includes Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), attachment theory, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I believe it's important to have a good relationship with my clients to create a safe space for exploring and reflecting. We will look at past experiences to understand patterns and beliefs that affect your current behavior. Seeking therapy can be scary, but you are making the right choice. In our sessions, you will find a non-judgmental environment where you can freely express your thoughts and feelings. We will work together to create a plan to address your identified needs and goals. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow.
In our first session, we'll begin with brief introductions, followed by an initial assessment. This may involve reviewing and clarifying the information you provided on the intake forms or initial assessments. This information will help us set treatment goals together by the end of the session.
I am passionate about providing therapy that is relationship-based and creates a safe space to do the work of therapy. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Supervisor, working in Medical and Mental Health Hospitals for over 20 years, I have extensive experience working with those in high-stress work environments, have experienced trauma, and those with chronic illness. I specialize in trauma-informed care and use evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI). My goal is to help clients navigate their challenges, build resilience, and achieve meaningful change. I am committed to fostering a therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to take proactive steps towards their well-being. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, relationship issues, or the stress of your symptoms, I am here to support you on your journey to healing and growth. Together, we can explore your past experiences, identify patterns, and develop strategies to improve your quality of life. You deserve a space where you can feel safe, express yourself freely, and work towards a healthier, more fulfilling future.
I love working with individuals of all ages and genders who are eager to explore the underlying causes of their symptoms and are committed to addressing those core issues for lasting change.
In my practice, I use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help clients understand and change negative thoughts related to traumatic events. My approach is relational and flexible, while adhering to the structured, evidence-based sessions and homework assignments. Through CPT, I have seen significant improvements in my clients' daily lives.
