I'm Rhyanna, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who is ready to help you lead a more fulfilling life. Taking the leap to start therapy can be a tough decision. Most of us feel that we should be able to handle everything on our own. I'm here to remind you that you aren't alone. You are supported and you deserve to feel your best, heal, and grow. I create a warm environment and empower my clients to take back control of their lives. I encourage an active therapy experience where clients learn skills, set weekly goals, and complete homework to build a sense of independence and self-confidence. Whether you're struggling with your self-esteem, anxious thoughts, work, relationships, general motivation or more, I can help! In the first session we will go over session logistics as well as your history, symptoms, current life circumstances and coping mechanisms. If there is time, we may start to learn some general information about coping and we will set a goal to be practiced between sessions.
I use a mix of treatment modalities including humanistic, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing and mindfulness. I also am trauma-sensitive, though trauma is not a specialty of mine.
I specialize in working with youth and adults ages 11-55. I particularly enjoy working with those experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity issues, and relationship conflicts.
