I bring a culturally responsive lens to my practice, recognizing the profound impact of personal identity and lived experiences. My work focuses on helping couples communicate, addictions, men's issues, helping you develop self-love, improve communication, overcome anxiety and depression, and healing from past wounds. My practice is grounded in challenging yet supportive psychodynamic and psychoanalytical work. I like to challenge my clients but also meet them where they are at.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session I will be speaking more than usual. I will be asking why you are interested in therapy and if you know what outcomes you would like. I like brainstorming together to better understand your needs and wants.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I empathize with my clients, provide emotional support and I balance the sessions by using phrases that emphasize directness, transparency, and actionable feedback.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Do you feel "stuck" or "hopeless" in your relationship or recovery? I would like to share with you these are normal feelings and that there are ways to move forward from them. I have over seven years of experience specializing with couples, addictions, and men's mental health, with a specific focus on anger management and masculine identity. In addition, I have successfully worked with Clients struggling with anxiety, depression and children with selective mutism.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

I use Psychodynamic therapy approaches to explore unconscious conflicts, early attachment patterns, adn defense mechanisms to resolve deep-seated relationship issues.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I focus on using evidence-based addiction support. I focus on identifying negative patterns and building practical tools for long-term sobriety and relational stability.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I utilize a non-pathologizing approach that views behaviors as protective strategies rather than character flaws.
