I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, communication issues, advocacy, grief and loss, and life transitions. In your first session with me, you can expect a warm, judgment-free space where we’ll explore your goals, challenges, and begin creating a path forward together.
My biggest strengths are being empathetic and understanding. I enjoy helping my clients set their treatment goals so that they may live their best lives and be comfortable being who they are.
I would prefer to work with clients who have presenting concerns such as difficulty managing stress, generalized and social anxiety, life transitions, work life balance, and depression with no active suicidal thoughts, self-harming behaviors, or history of hospitalizations. I would also prefer to work with clients who would like to work on improving their self-esteem or communication with others. I am particulary interested in working with the African American population.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice to help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thoughts, develop healthier coping strategies, and make meaningful behavioral changes.
