LMFT, 9 years of experience
Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), based in Florida. I got my Masters at a holistic-therapy school called California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and I've been practicing for 9 years! I help populations (currently a lot of ADHD, couples, trauma, anxiety, and depression in young adults). I'm here to assist you in gaining clarity into a new chapter of your life - one in which you can identify obstacles in your life and collaboratively find solutions with me.
In or first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into what's really been up for you? What brought you into therapy? What do you see as both possible and realistic goals of therapy -- let's get to it!
My biggest strengths are being both genuinely curious and compassionate in a world that can be full of judgement. I do my best to be direct and authentic -- a goal many clients also have themselves. I have a variety of approaches that I tailor to you to best meet your goals. We can use evidence based practices, holistic mind-body perspectives, and concrete solutions to moving beyond your past and feeling yourself again
I love working with clients who are really motivated to begin the inner work and enthusiastic about posibility of change. This enthusiasm is often contagious so please come with a willingness to engage in self-relational process.
Solution-focused therapy is an evidence based and goal-directed treatment. This positive psychology focuses on solutions, while also recognizing and addressing problems in the here and now.
I incorporate a holistic perspective (mind-body approach), which is commonly used to treat a variety of chronic health conditions, including depression, trauma, and anxiety.
I have lived and worked with multicultural populations and centers for my whole life! The past 7 years have been focusing on community mental health/systemic support and resources.

Wow, what a great experience. I was nervous going in to the session with my husband and was unsure what to expect but, Brian was able to make me feel comfortable to open up and be honest. He clearly also made my husband feel comfortable enough to open up which isn't the easiest thing to do so I am very grateful even after just our first session. I look forward to having more sessions and being able to work on the solutions and tools to becoming a better married couple.

I've tried male therapists in the past and never had success but based on reviews for Brian I wanted to give it another try. While it's only been a handful of sessions, I am finally feeling like I am being challenged to think vs. just talking. I still vent some but then I am challenged to think of the big picture or underlying issue which I greatly appreciate. I feel like I "struck gold" when finding Brian and looking forward to our continued therapeutic relationship.

Brian is amazing and so understanding. He has gone out of his way to support my crisis in way more ways than his practice would require. So thankful for all he is doing to support my family.
