New to Grow
I provide a warm and supportive space where you can feel comfortable showing up as you are and expressing yourself fully. I believe that healing can begin when you feel truly seen and validated by an empathetic, deeply attuned presence. Our sessions will focus on creating space for insight, emotional growth, and finding new ways of moving forward. In our work together, we will highlight your existing strengths while focusing on helping you gain clarity, emotional resilience, and connect with the most authentic version of yourself that feels grounded and empowered.
During your first session, you can expect a warm, affirming space where we begin exploring what brings you to therapy and identify areas for healing and growth. I know reaching out can take courage, so we move at a pace that feels safe and supportive. Together, we’ll explore your experiences and emotions with curiosity and compassion. My role is to listen deeply, help you identify patterns that show up in your life, and support greater understanding of yourself and your relationships. Our work together will blend insight and skills to cultivate a sense of fulfillment, peace and groundedness in your life. Although a first session is just the beginning of your therapy journey, my hope is that you leave feeling relieved, encouraged, and supported in taking a meaningful first step towards healing and lasting emotional change.
My greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to help clients feel deeply seen and understood. Clients often describe me as intuitive, supportive, and deeply attuned. Together, we will work to explore the emotions, needs, and relational patterns beneath your present struggles, reconnect with what matters most to you, and create meaningful, lasting growth in your relationships, both with yourself and others. My approach to therapy is collaborative, emotionally focused, attachment based, trauma-informed, and tailored specifically to your unique needs, using evidence based practices.
My ideal clients are adults or couples who are ready to engage in meaningful inner work and explore deeper emotional and relational patterns. With a background in Women’s Studies, I am especially attuned to creating a supportive, affirming space for individuals who identify as minorities or who have felt “othered” in their experiences. My practice centers on empowerment, inclusion, and helping clients feel seen, respected, and understood.
Other specialties
Couples Counseling
In couples counseling, I primarily use an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approach to help partners identify the underlying emotions, attachment needs, and patterns that drive conflict and disconnection. I integrate elements of the Gottman Method to strengthen communication, increase understanding, and build practical skills for managing conflict and deepening connection. Together, we work to create a more secure, responsive relationship where both partners feel seen, valued, and emotionally connected.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
I use Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) to help clients deepen awareness of their emotional experiences and understand how attachment patterns influence the way they relate to themselves and others. Together, we explore underlying emotions, unmet needs, and protective strategies with compassion and curiosity rather than judgment. Through an attuned therapeutic relationship, clients build emotional resilience, develop a more secure sense of self, and create lasting change.
Trauma Informed Care
I use a trauma-informed approach by prioritizing safety, choice, collaboration, and empowerment in every aspect of the therapeutic process. I remain attuned to how past trauma may shape current emotions, behaviors, and relational patterns, while pacing the work to match each client’s capacity and readiness. Through a grounded and supportive relationship, clients are able to build trust, reduce shame, and strengthen emotional regulation as they move toward healing.
Eclectic
I use an eclectic approach by tailoring interventions to each client’s unique needs, drawing from modalities such as attachment-based therapy, psychodynamic work, CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care. I focus on what will be most effective for the individual or couple in the moment, integrating insight-oriented and skills-based strategies as needed. This flexible approach allows for personalized care that supports both deeper emotional understanding and practical, lasting change.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I use a culturally sensitive and gender-affirming approach by centering each client’s lived experience, identity, and cultural context as essential to the therapeutic process. I remain attentive to how systems of oppression, cultural background, family dynamics, and gender identity shape emotional experiences, relationships, and access to support. I strive to create a space where clients feel respected, validated, and free from assumptions, while collaboratively exploring meaning, values, and identity. This approach supports greater authenticity, empowerment, and emotional well-being.
