Hi, I'm Stephanie Rodriguez, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and individuals navigating life's most difficult challenges. My practice is rooted in a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach that recognizes the powerful connection between the mind, body, and nervous system. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, domestic violence, chronic illness, and life transitions. I am also passionate about serving veterans, first responders, law enforcement professionals, and their families. Whether you're struggling with a recent life event, a traumatic experience, chronic stress, or simply feeling stuck, I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where healing and growth can occur. At the end of the day, I am a human being just like anyone else. I understand that seeking therapy can feel uncomfortable, overwhelming, or even intimidating. There are still many stigmas surrounding mental wellness, and I am committed to creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and heard. I have dedicated my life to helping others and to understanding how our brains, bodies, and experiences shape who we are. If you're reading this and feeling uncertain about taking the next step, I encourage you to reach out. Let's meet and see if we're a good fit. My goal is to help in any way I can, and if I believe another provider or resource would better meet your needs, I will gladly help connect you with the right support. You do not have to face life's challenges alone.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and my goal is to make the process as comfortable as possible. During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, strengths, support systems, and goals for treatment. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether I am a good fit for your needs. There is no pressure to share everything at once. We move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you. Together, we'll begin developing a plan that supports your goals and helps you move toward improved well-being, healing, and growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to balance compassion with honesty. I will meet you where you are, provide a safe space to be heard, and support you through difficult experiences, but I am also willing to gently challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I believe meaningful growth happens when people feel both supported and empowered. My approach is informed by years of clinical experience, a deep understanding of trauma and the nervous system, and ongoing doctoral-level research focused on how life experiences shape behavior, emotions, and decision-making. I help clients understand not only what they are feeling, but why they are feeling it, and how their brain and body respond to stress, trauma, and adversity. But most importantly, I bring authenticity to the therapy process. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, and I recognize that every person comes with their own story, strengths, and challenges. Whether I am working with a child struggling in school, a survivor of trauma, a veteran, first responder, law enforcement professional, someone living with chronic illness, or an individual navigating everyday life stressors, my goal is to create a collaborative relationship built on trust, respect, and genuine connection. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I am down-to-earth, approachable, and able to explain complex concepts in ways that make sense. My hope is that every client leaves sessions feeling understood, supported, and equipped with practical tools they can use in their daily lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, life transitions, relationship challenges, school-related concerns, chronic illness, and stress-related difficulties. I am have experience serving veterans, active-duty military members, law enforcement professionals, first responders, and their families, recognizing the unique stressors, trauma exposure, and occupational demands these populations often face. I also I have extensive experience providing behavioral health services within school settings and supporting children and teens with emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, family stressors, social challenges, and adjustment difficulties. Additionally, I specialize in working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, individuals recovering from traumatic experiences, and those coping with the emotional impact of medical conditions, chronic pain, or motor vehicle accidents. My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

My approach recognizes the impact trauma can have on the brain, body, emotions, and relationships. I provide a safe, supportive environment where clients can better understand their experiences, build resilience, and work toward healing without feeling judged or re-traumatized.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps identify patterns of thinking and behavior that may be contributing to your anxiety, depression, stress, or trauma-related symptoms. Together we develop practical coping skills, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and build healthier ways of responding to life's challenges.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

This approach focuses on strengths, goals, and practical solutions. Together we identify what is already working and build on those successes to create positive change.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe that you are the experts in your own life. I work collaboratively with you to create a supportive space where they feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing helps you explore ambivalence, increase motivation, and make changes that align with your values and goals. It is especially helpful when you feel stuck or uncertain about next steps.
