(she/her)
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) based in New Jersey. I specialize in trauma-focused therapy and use mindfulness-based approaches to help clients feel grounded, safe, and empowered in their healing. I also have experience working with individuals navigating co-occurring disorders, where mental health concerns and substance use intersect. My style is warm and person-centered, drawing from EMDR and other evidence-based practices. I also provide therapy in Polish for clients who prefer support in their native language.
Our first session is an opportunity for me to get to know you: your story, your experiences, and what has brought you to therapy. It’s a chance for us to explore what you’re hoping to achieve, what’s been challenging, and what you need most right now. I’ll also explain how our sessions typically work and what you can expect moving forward. This time together is important for assessing your needs and understanding your goals, so we can create a plan that feels right for you. Equally important is making sure that we’re a good fit. Therapy works best when you feel seen, supported, and safe with your therapist. If at any point you have questions or concerns about the process, I encourage you to share them.
Authenticity is at the core of how I show up in the therapy space. I believe that meaningful healing happens in honest, human connection, and I strive to create a space where you feel safe enough to be fully yourself. Along with authenticity, I bring warmth, honesty, and a grounded presence. I’ll meet you where you are, but I’ll also gently encourage you to look inward to face what’s hard to face, to take ownership of your story, and to move through discomfort with intention.
Many of the individuals I work with are carrying the weight of past trauma, loss, or a lingering sense of disconnection, even if they’ve managed to hold things together on the outside. They often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, shut down, or unsure how to move forward, sensing that something needs to change but not always knowing where to start.
I am trained in EMDR therapy, which is an evidence- based treatment, which I utilize with clients to support healing from a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, complex grief, and distressing life experiences.
I work from a humanistic foundation, which means I view each person as inherently capable of growth, healing and meaningful change. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can explore your experiences without judgement and reconnect with your values, strengths, and sense of purpose.
Mindfulness is a core part of how I help clients reconnect with themselves. I use mindfulness to help clients notice what’s happening in their body, their thoughts, and their emotions without judgment. This awareness creates space for choice, clarity, and healing.
