Hi! I'm Dyana. As a neurodivergent mom with two children with special needs, I specialize in working with trauma, grief and loss, neurodivergence (including ADHD, autism, and AuDHD- especially late diagnosis), and parents of neurodivergent or special needs children. My approach is somatic and trauma-informed, meaning we don’t just talk about what happened-we gently work with how your nervous system holds stress, overwhelm, and survival patterns. Many of the people I work with are highly capable, caring individuals who have learned to mask, push through, or care for others while neglecting their own needs. In therapy, we slow down, listen to your body’s cues, and build practical tools for regulation, resilience, and self-understanding. This work can help reduce burnout, increase self-compassion, and create more space for connection, clarity, and rest. I strive to create a space that feels safe, collaborative, and affirming-especially for neurodivergent individuals and parents navigating complex systems. Whether you’re grieving, unmasking, adjusting to a diagnosis, or learning how to support your child, you don’t have to do it alone.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

My approach to therapy is somatic, trauma-informed, and neurodivergence-affirming. This means we pay attention not only to thoughts and emotions, but also to body sensations, nervous system responses, and patterns of regulation and overwhelm. Trauma, chronic stress, grief, and sensory overload often live in the body, not just in memory or language. In sessions, we might learn nervous system regulation tools, explore how trauma or chronic stress shows up in your body, support grief in ways that feel safe and paced, work on reducing masking and burnout, build skills for sensory regulation, explore identity after a late diagnosis, support parenting capacity while honoring your own needs. Therapy moves at your pace, and you are always in control of how deeply we explore any experience. Therapy is a collaboration. I may be the expert in somatic work, trauma, grief, neurodivergence, etc., but you are the expert in you. I can’t know you as well as you know you, so I want to hear from you about how this process should look. I love feedback and when clients tell me like it is. It helps take the guesswork out of things.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One thing most of my clients tell me is that I’m not your typical therapist- I’m approachable, I’m real, and I’m not afraid to be a goof at times. I’m not just saying all of that to be showy. I truly practice from a place of authenticity and transparency because I’m a firm believer in if I’m asking you to show up, I’m going to expect the same of myself. I, like you, am human. I understand what it’s like to be a messy human going through some tough things.
