Hello! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC). I am licensed in Texas as well as Georgia. I received my Masters from the Texas Wesleyan University and have been practicing for 10 years. I work primarily with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, parenting issues, career/life transitions, family relationships, and anger management. I utilize a Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral and Client-centered approach to therapy. I strive to empower my clients to change the way they view themselves and to focus on being more accepting of who they are and desire to be. I approach goal setting as a collaborative partnership in which the client is proactive in helping to set their own goals for therapy.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, I will get some background about you, and I will give you some background about me. I will assess you for safety, obtain information about your general health and wellbeing. Then, because of my direct approach, we will get right into what has you in therapy and begin your path to change.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My real world and humanistic approach to therapy is the foundation for what I do as a Therapist. I am a dedicated Therapist who possesses the innate ability to connect with my clients. My approach is respectful and non-judgmental. I am passionate about helping others change and develop the skills necessary for success. I thrive in seeing my clients’ progress towards and achieve their goals. I believe that being your authentic self is the true essence of growth and healing.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Often times my clients are seeking solutions to everyday life matters. They are looking to shift things in a direction that will make them feel like things are improving. Being focused on setting goals, reframing thoughts, and seeking exceptions have been very helpful in getting my clients to think clearly, make better decisions, and look for the small positive outcomes in addition to the large ones.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT has been very useful with helping my clients with gain a better understanding of their behaviors and to change those behavior patterns that are doing them a disservice. I have seen my clients face challenges and situations differently with greater confidence. CBT has allowed me as the Therapist to focus on what is going on with my clients in an effort to guide and motivate my clients.
