My name is Cary J. Acosta, LCSW, DCSW, ACSW, CTMH. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Florida with over 20 years of experience. I also hold the following credentials- The DCSW- Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, the ACSW - Academy of Certified Social Workers and CTMH- Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider and I am a certified Hypnotherapist. I work with individuals- adults, adolescents and children, couples and families with a variety of issues. I strive to provide hope and healing through working with you to develop a plan to help you with your mental and emotional health.
First session
I start where the client is. If they prefer to talk they can talk if they prefer to be asked questions I will ask questions. Will help the client identify their goals for therapy.

20 years using CBT. Psychoeducation and teaching of coping skills to the clients that they can implement in their daily lives.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Certified. It can be used in PTSD and also in client's with other problems.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Certified. This approach works well with clients who have Bipolar Disorder.
Hypnotherapy
Certified in Hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy can be used for many problems one example is smoking cessation.
EMDR
EMDR and virtual EMDR for PTSD, and for other issues such as anxiety, etc.
