Katrina Myers

LPC, 7 years of experience

Warm
Humorous

I have been an LPC for 7 years. Previously I taught in education for 13 years all my experience is mostly with emotionally disturbed youth and currently working with several adults on anxiety issues. I believe in a safe space for people to communicate and express their feelings. I enjoy the beach, my dog and listening to live music. I am one who believes a new day can make a difference and to keep pushing through the hard times.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I like to get to know them, their needs and wants from me. Discuss expectations and start building alliances to see if we are a good fit. Ask them any pros/cons of previous therapy. I ask them questions about what their goals are and things that they want to change. I Like to set a few goals for the next session. I like to make it a free flowing conversation.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strongest strengths are I enjoy helping people and I am a happy person on the inside and out. If I don't know the answer to something I will work very hard to find the information to help a person be successful. I work very well with the youth generation and I am a calm person in a crisis situation.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

The clients I am best positioned to serve are ones who feel safe with their feelings and emotions with me to help them through whatever they are dealing with. I enjoy people who are open to creativity and inspire to want a healthier version of themselves no matter how hard the work is to put in.
