Are you feeling stressed or overwhelmed by life circumstances? Have you experienced a loss or are you in the midst of change? Whatever it is that has you looking for support, I believe you can move through it and grow from it. Asking for help can be uncomfortable and making time for ourselves can feel like a burden, but your well-being is worth it. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without judgment so, together, we can find opportunities for positive change and improved ability to cope with stress and anxiety. Holding an advanced certification in hospice and palliative social work (APHSW-C), I have a passion for working with adults navigating life-limiting illness, caregiver fatigue, grief, loss and end-of-life.
Our first few sessions will involve an evaluation of your needs. By the end of that time, I will be able to offer you some impressions of what our work will include if you decide to continue with therapy. You should evaluate this information along with your own opinions of whether you feel comfortable working with me. If you have any questions about my procedures, we should discuss them whenever they arise. Our relationship is a collaborative one, and I welcome any questions, comments, or suggestions regarding your course of therapy at any time.
The plan we create together will be specific to your goals, but my therapeutic style often includes: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy (MBCT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). I strive to provide care that is: Culturally Sensitive, Person-Centered and Strength-Based
I believe you already have the answers inside of yourself. I want to help you find and own your intrinsic power to overcome the barriers between you and the life you desire.
