Hi there! I have been a psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for seven years and a Registered Nurse for twenty-five years. I enjoy meeting new people and exploring new places. I love to travel when I have the free time. Nature is also an important part of my world, therefore I support and volunteer as much as possible to promote a better place for animals and us humans that live in their world. I HAVE SAME DAY AVAILABILITY IF NEEDED; HOWEVER, YOU WILL NEED TO MESSAGE/TEXT ME FOR AN APPOINTMENT.
In our first session/interview I will be asking an array of questions to get to know you better and enable to address the correct mental health diagnoses. I will also allow time for you to get to know me a little better, whereas; the provider/client relationship connection and trust is important for the treatment to be effective. Review past mental health treatment and medications attempted. If you are needing services for documentation required for a lawyer, FMLA, Disability, or anything else that requires a lengthy amount of time there is a fee of 150.00 Any addendum or extensions, you will not be chanrged.
The therapeutic approach focuses on changing problematic behaviors, feelings, and thoughts by discovering their unconscious meanings and motivations. I like to use the Strengths-based therapy approach to psychotherapy treatment based in positive psychology. It focuses on a person's existing resources, resilience, and positive qualities, then uses these abilities to improve their quality of life and reduce problematic symptoms. This can be accomplished by helping the patient focus on their abilities rather than deficits. Positive thinking helps encourage patients to want to live in a more positive life and surround themselves with positive others.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by racing thoughts or a sense of being 'stuck' ? Utilizing evidence-based interventions for mood disorders"; instead, try "using proven tools to help you regain control over your emotions". Do you feel like you're constantly fighting an uphill battle with anxiety or depression? My approach is collaborative and holistic. As a board-certified psychiatrist, I offer thoughtful medication management alongside person therapy style, e.g., CBT or mindfulness] to ensure we are treating the whole person, not just a diagnosis. I will be devoted to helping you find peace and direction in your future. I use a combination ofCognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for actionable change, Psychodynamic for unconscious patterns, Humanistic for self-actualization, and Behavioral therapies for habit modification to help you achieve your goals.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness.
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to treat my patients by balancing acceptance and change. By having a collaborating relationship with my patients also helps them manage intense emotions and self-destructive behaviors through a highly structured program. They often have mistrust with other whereas there is no judgement or expectation except the ones the patients are willing to pursue.
