New to Grow
Hello, I'm Katina Davis, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping adults navigate life's challenges with confidence, resilience, and purpose. I bring an authentic, strengths-based approach to therapy, empowering clients to recognize their inner strengths and create meaningful change, even during difficult seasons of life. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, compassion, and collaboration is the foundation for growth and healing. My motto is to normalize mental health and encourage individuals to view emotional wellness as an essential part of their overall health and wellness journey.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, and I want you to know that you do not have to navigate it alone. During our first session, my focus is on getting to know you, understanding your experiences, and learning what is most important to you. Together, we will begin building a trusting relationship in a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and valued. There is no pressure to have all the answers—we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to create a strong foundation for our work together so that you feel supported, empowered, and hopeful as you begin your journey toward healing and personal growth.
I believe that every individual possesses strengths that can be used to overcome obstacles and create meaningful change. My clients can expect a supportive and encouraging environment where they feel heard, respected, and empowered to reach their goals. I bring energy, optimism, and real-world experience to the therapeutic process, helping clients develop practical strategies for navigating challenges while recognizing their resilience and potential. My goal is not only to help clients manage symptoms but also to support them in building a healthier, more fulfilling life where mental wellness is viewed as an essential part of overall well-being.
I am best positioned to serve adults and professionals navigating life transitions, identity development, relationship challenges, stress, and other circumstances that affect their mental health and overall well-being. I work particularly well with individuals who are seeking greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and practical strategies for managing life's challenges. Using a strengths-based, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral approach, I help clients develop healthy coping skills, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change. I am especially passionate about working with individuals who are coping with substance use and addiction-related concerns, supporting them as they explore recovery, strengthen their support systems, and work toward achieving their personal goals.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has shown it to be an effective approach for helping clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge negative or distorted thinking patterns that contribute to emotional distress. Common techniques I incorporate include cognitive restructuring, problem-solving, coping skills development, and behavioral interventions to support healthier thinking patterns and more positive behavioral outcomes.
