Life is rough, let’s be real. But there’s no problem too big or too small that therapy can’t help with. Whether it be anxiety from your job, a huge life change, or you just need someone to vent to, I am here to work alongside you to help you make it through any issues you may have. I like to take a team approach to therapy so you know that you are not alone in this. You have a teammate that will be there to help guide you and give you the tools you need to conquer any obstacle life throws your way!
A first session with me will always be relaxed and down to earth. I want to get to know you but also want you to get to know me. I usually take this time to build a rapport with you without any pressure or expectations. I just want to get a feel for each other and take it from there!
I really am your biggest fan. I want to make sure you feel like you have a partner in me and someone who will always cheer you on and support you. I use a lot of humor and personality in session because being relatable is important. I also use a lot of CBT and DBT in terms of coping and dealing with day to day stressors.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who enjoys helping individuals who are experiencing anxiety and depression that come with everyday life. I have served many different people in different capacities. I have been a school social worker and worked at a private practice for the last 2 years working with adults. My specialties are anxiety, depression, and coping skills with experience in LGBTQIA+ support, self-esteem, empowerment, grief, and trauma.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my therapeutic work because it is a practical, evidence-based approach that helps clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT empowers individuals to identify unhelpful patterns and develop more balanced, effective ways of thinking and responding to challenges.
I value DBT for its balance between change and acceptance—it acknowledges the reality of a client’s pain while also supporting meaningful, lasting change. The core skills of DBT—mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness—are practical, teachable, and transformative. They provide clients with real-world tools to manage distress and improve quality of life.
