I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a diverse nursing background and mental health experience. I offer a personable and supportive approach, listen to your concerns, and discuss a plan to help you achieve your goals. I offer medications and therapy. My focus is ages 18 - 64, with anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, OCD, stress, trauma, grief, loss, and other mental health concerns.
The first appointment will be an approximate 60-90 min. session with psychiatric, social, family, and medical history. We will develop goals and discuss medications and interventions for symptom management. Follow-up appointments will be 20-60 min. including your progress and new developments.
My approach is personable, warm, empathetic, and direct, with a holistic method.
Accepting new patients with flexible scheduling for anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, OCD, trauma, grief, and additional mental health matters.
The positive psychology method enhances the humanistic approach by focusing on inner strengths and positive attributes.
The humanistic method focuses on a person’s individuality, exploring and reaching their potential, and identifying their unique abilities.
The interpersonal method explores thoughts and emotions and how they affect relationships and expands social skills.
The strength-based method is grounded in positive psychology, recognizing positive attributes, assets, and accomplishments, and rethinking perceived weaknesses.
The person-centered method facilitates discussion with each individual and enhances their ability to recognize and resolve their own problems.
