I received a bachelor's degree in fine art from Kent State University and a master's degree in counseling from Trinity Washington University. I have been working in DC for the past 12 years engaging with individuals and families in various settings including court, community, and school. I appreciate the trust and vulnerability it takes to seek help. Together, we will engage in compassionate, person-centered, and holistic therapy. I intend to promote an empathic, safe, and non-judgmental space that allows a strong therapeutic relationship to form.
In our first therapy session, clients can expect a process that focuses on introductions, building trust, gathering information, and establishing treatment goals. The goal is to create a safe space to share and collaboratively develop a treatment plan for therapy.
I work through a strengths-based lens and enjoy allowing strong therapeutic relationships to develop with intentionality.
I enjoy working with individuals regarding a range of topics and experiences, such as grief, life transitions, and anxiety or depression.
I am naturally drawn to person-centered therapy, creating a safe, authentic, and nonjudgmental space for clients. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and rooted in person-centered principles. I integrate various modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. I have experience supporting individuals through challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma, with a strong focus on fostering the mind-body connection. I value building meaningful rapport and collaborating with clients on their journey toward growth.
