Sav Ngo
Welcome to Peaceful Mind Psychiatric. I'm Savuol "Sav" Ngo, MSN, PMHNP-BC, AGPCNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of healthcare experience. I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, sleep concerns, and other mental health conditions. I believe that every person deserves to be heard, understood, and treated with dignity. My approach is collaborative, personalized, and focused on helping you achieve lasting improvement—not just symptom relief. Together, we'll develop a treatment plan that fits your goals, whether that includes medication management, lifestyle changes, or coordination with your therapist and other healthcare providers. As the founder of Peaceful Mind Psychiatric, I strive to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you can openly discuss your concerns and feel supported throughout your mental health journey. I also have experience working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and understand how life experiences, relationships, work, and family can impact emotional well-being. If you desire, I am also happy to incorporate your Christian faith into treatment in a way that respects your beliefs. Whether you're seeking care for the first time or looking for a fresh approach, I look forward to partnering with you to help you find hope, healing, and greater peace of mind.
First session
During your first appointment, we'll take time to get to know one another and discuss what brings you to treatment. I'll ask about your current symptoms, medical and mental health history, medications, family history, lifestyle, and the goals you hope to achieve. If you've received treatment before, we'll review what has and hasn't been helpful. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and judgment-free space where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns. Together, we'll develop an individualized treatment plan that may include medication recommendations, therapy referrals if appropriate, lifestyle strategies, and a plan for follow-up care. You'll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and I want you to leave your first session feeling heard, informed, and confident about the next steps in your care.
Strengths
I bring a compassionate, thoughtful, and evidence-based approach to psychiatric care. With over 15 years of healthcare experience, I recognize that mental health is influenced by many factors, including physical health, relationships, culture, work, and life experiences. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I strive to understand the whole person and tailor treatment to your unique needs and goals. I value collaboration, open communication, and patient education, ensuring you understand your diagnosis, treatment options, and medications so you can make informed decisions about your care. My goal is to build a trusting relationship where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. If requested, I am also happy to integrate Christian faith into treatment in a way that aligns with your beliefs and values.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is an adult who is seeking compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care and is motivated to improve their mental health and overall quality of life. They may be experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, sleep concerns, or other emotional challenges that are affecting their daily functioning, relationships, or work. Whether they are seeking treatment for the first time or returning after previous care, I enjoy working with individuals who value a collaborative approach and are open to developing a personalized treatment plan. My goal is to partner with clients by providing education, thoughtful medication management when appropriate, and ongoing support to help them build resilience, achieve greater emotional well-being, and reach their personal goals.
Treatment methods
Multicultural
I believe effective mental health care begins with understanding each person's unique background, values, and life experiences. As an immigrant and healthcare provider with over 15 years of experience, I have worked with individuals from many different cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. I recognize that culture, family dynamics, faith, immigration experiences, and stigma surrounding mental health can all influence how someone experiences emotional distress and seeks treatment. My approach is to provide culturally sensitive, patient-centered care by listening without judgment, respecting each person's beliefs and preferences, and tailoring treatment to their individual needs. I strive to create a welcoming environment where clients feel heard, respected, and understood so we can work together to develop a treatment plan that aligns with their goals and values.
Strength-Based
I use a strength-based approach by recognizing that each person has unique abilities, resilience, and personal strengths that can support their recovery. Rather than focusing only on symptoms or diagnoses, I work collaboratively with clients to identify what is already working well, build healthy coping skills, and develop practical strategies that promote lasting wellness. With over 15 years of healthcare experience, I understand that healing looks different for every individual. My role is to provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care while empowering clients to make informed decisions about their treatment. I strive to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where clients feel heard, respected, and encouraged as they work toward their mental health goals. When desired, I am also happy to incorporate a client's faith and personal values into treatment.
Supportive
I incorporate supportive therapy into my sessions by providing a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. I believe that healing begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and collaboration. While I provide evidence-based psychiatric evaluation and medication management, I also help clients process life's challenges, develop healthy coping strategies, and build resilience. With over 15 years of healthcare experience, I understand that mental health is influenced by many aspects of life, including relationships, work, physical health, culture, and life experiences. My approach is to meet clients where they are, provide education and encouragement, and empower them to actively participate in their treatment. My goal is to help clients feel more confident, hopeful, and equipped to achieve lasting emotional well-being.
