As a therapist with over 27 years of experience, I have the ability to help you navigate thru your particular situation. I'm a certified trauma therapist and have worked extensively on military bases around the world, assisting veterans with their trauma. If you have trauma, just know, I can assist you with it. We have some great empirical based techniques that truly are effective. You just need to be ready. Our goal is to help each person reach their highest level of functioning by overcoming self-defeating habits; improving problem solving skills, develop healthy relationships and improve communication. Together we will find a workable solution. Our commitment will ensure you have the tools and skills needed to intrinsically improve your life. After observing and working with people over the years, a therapist learns what works. A successful counseling experience comes from providing a place of safety and trust where you can feel safe to discuss your personal issues. Together we can develop clarity and move towards an improved place of well being.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I usually want to do know; What is it that you want me to know? And what can I help you with? I like to just listen and get to know the client and allow you to guide the session. I'll be along for ride. My belief is that you always know what's best for you. And it's my job to support and help you remember who you are.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

I can use techniques such as DBT which just means mindfulness. CBT is also good for people with stress. It helps us work on controlling our minds instead of the other way around. EMDR and ART are great tools to work with trauma. Person Centered which looks like I just want to be heard and seen today.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I've learned over the years that anxiety is caused by our minds. There are some easier tools we can use and implement to assist with reducing how much control our thinking mind has on us. I enjoy helping people reduce their anxiety and stress that came with negative thinking and perhaps past trauma.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with veterans, addictions and people who are struggling with depression and anxiety. Couples and relationship issues are also up my ally. You bring it to me and I will meet you there. You are not alone. Together we will forge a path.
