***** KINDLY NOTE: ACCEPTING APPOINTMENTS BETWEEN 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM. VERY LIMITED EVENINGS AVAILABLE. ***** Welcome! I’m Olivia Lima, LMHC, CCTP—a proud Latinx Millennial Licensed Mental Health Therapist in Florida, fluent in Spanish. Need help building self-esteem? I’m your number one hype woman. Having conflict in your relationship? I’ll equip you with practical communication tools (and a little therapy translation magic). Think of me as your new therapy BFF—someone who can help you turn "You’re getting on my nerves!" into "I feel myself becoming more irritable toward you lately, and I want to make sure we discuss it, because our relationship matters to me." History of trauma? You are 100% safe here. Struggling with anger management? Let’s unpack that. People-pleasing tendencies? I’m a recovering people-pleaser myself, and I can help you break the cycle. You can trust that this space is built with your best interests at heart. My blend of professional expertise and personal life experience fuels my compassion, transparency, and trauma-informed approach. I’m not a “blank slate” therapist—you’ll get authenticity, warmth, and a partner in your healing journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll explore your history and what brings you to therapy right now. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan tailored to your goals. Often, our past can shed light on why certain patterns keep repeating in our lives. My aim is to help you safely explore and reprocess your trauma so it no longer feels threatening—supporting you in moving out of constant fight-or-flight mode and into a place of greater calm, safety, and control.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

In my sessions, “TMI” does not exist—so SPILL all the tea! (Photos, screenshots… bring it all. I’m here for every bit of it.) My goal is to meet you exactly where you are in your journey, using a warm, empathetic, and caring approach. I bring a good sense of humor and a relaxed style that helps clients feel comfortable, while also connecting on a deep, meaningful, and intuitive level. I am culturally competent and skilled in working with clients from all political and religious backgrounds. I’m an open book, and my clients know where I stand when it comes to my values and beliefs. I’m passionate about my work, and I genuinely like when clients give me feedback—I always welcome it. This experience is for YOU, and I am here to facilitate that process to the best of my ability. I take my role to model healthy communication very seriously and love creating a space where clients feel safe expressing their needs to me. Above all, I pride myself on fostering an environment where you can show up as your most authentic self—judgment-free and fully supported.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have experience working with school-age children, teens, adults, couples, and families. My specialties include complex trauma, attachment wounds, intimate relationships, family dynamics, communication and social skills, peer and workplace bullying, body image, self-esteem building, anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, codependency, and inner-child healing. I am a proud ally of the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities, and I will always champion your right to be authentic to who you truly are. I work best with clients who are motivated to better understand themselves and their patterns, as well as the connections between their childhood experiences and present-day dynamics. I like to go deep in my sessions, creating a safe, affirming space where you can explore, grow, and make meaningful changes that last.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

Being a trauma-informed clinician means recognizing the profound and lasting effects of complex trauma and PTSD, understanding how these experiences alter brain chemistry, and using approaches such as inner-child healing and self-compassion to support more effective emotional regulation.

Attachment-based

In my practice, I incorporate psychoeducation on attachment wounds to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationship patterns. How do you tend to show up in your connections with others? Do you lean toward an anxious or avoidant attachment style, and how might that shape your current relationship dynamics? Exploring and understanding these patterns can be a powerful step toward healing attachment wounds and improving the quality of your relationships across all areas of your life.

Couples Counseling

With couples, challenges often stem from differences in attachment or communication styles. Together, we’ll uncover the underlying factors impacting your dynamic and learn to approach conflict in ways that are healthy, constructive, and meaningful.

Family Therapy

Understanding each family’s unique dynamic—and the roles each member plays—is essential for building stronger connections. In family sessions, I focus on enhancing listening skills and equipping members with effective conflict resolution tools to foster healthier relationships.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

In my couples and family sessions, I use emotion-focused techniques to strengthen empathy, deepen understanding, and improve communication and conflict resolution skills. Over time, you’ll learn to listen with your heart rather than your ego, creating space for more authentic and meaningful connections.
