I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 5 years of experience in the Mental Health Counseling and Rehabilitation fields. My experience is varied as I have worked with veterans, women, children, victims of abuse, couples, families, and teenagers. I use a client-centered approach that focuses on increasing the clients' insight and giving them the tools so that they can navigate life's problems on their own.
The first session is really about getting to know each other. I’ll invite you to share what’s bringing you to therapy, and we’ll explore what you’re hoping to get out of it. I’ll also share a bit about my background, experience, and qualifications so you know who you’re working with. It’s a chance to start building a connection and set the foundation for our work together.
I have worked with clients suffering from various symptoms of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, ADHD, anger, guilt, relationship difficulties, parenting problems, and family issues. I have also treated clients who have experienced sexual, physical, and emotional trauma.
My ideal clients are individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and/or ADHD who are ready to take ownership of their lives. They’re motivated to better understand themselves, build healthier habits, and take meaningful steps toward the future they truly want. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start—but they’re open to doing the inner work and showing up for themselves in the process.
I have over six years of experience using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients in managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and developing healthy coping skills. I’ve used DBT in both individual and group settings, focusing on core skills like mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
I’ve been using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for over six years to help clients build psychological flexibility, align with their values, and take meaningful action—even in the face of difficult thoughts and emotions. I integrate mindfulness and acceptance strategies to support lasting change and personal growth."
