New to Grow
Hi, I’m Cilicia, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I support individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, and life transitions using a collaborative, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach. I incorporate both evidence-based and mind-body techniques to help clients better understand themselves, build effective coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to provide a supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered in your healing journey.
In our first session, we will focus on getting to know you and understanding what has brought you to therapy. I will ask questions about your current concerns, history, and goals to get a clear picture of your needs. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine if we are a good fit. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace.
My greatest strengths include my ability to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space while also providing structured, goal-oriented care. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as CBT, EMDR, and Brainspotting with a trauma-informed, mind-body perspective. This allows me to support clients in gaining insight, improving emotional regulation, and creating meaningful, lasting change both mentally and physically.
I work best with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, and life transitions who are seeking both insight and practical tools for change. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected and are ready to better understand themselves and build effective coping strategies. I provide a collaborative, supportive space and often incorporate a mind-body approach to support deeper healing, emotional regulation, and long-term growth.
Brainspotting
I have completed Phase 1 and Phase 2 training in Brainspotting and incorporate it into my practice as a trauma-focused, brain-body approach to processing distress. I use Brainspotting to help clients access and release stored emotional and somatic experiences, particularly when traditional talk therapy alone is not sufficient. I integrate this method within a broader, trauma-informed framework to support clients in achieving deeper healing and regulation.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a foundational, evidence-based approach in my practice to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. I support clients in developing practical coping strategies, increasing self-awareness, and creating meaningful behavioral changes. I often integrate CBT within a trauma-informed and holistic framework to ensure interventions are both effective and aligned with each client’s individual needs.
EMDR
I have received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and incorporate it into my practice as a trauma-focused, evidence-based approach. I use EMDR to help clients process and reframe distressing experiences that may be contributing to current symptoms. Within a safe and structured environment, EMDR supports the brain’s natural healing process and allows clients to move toward greater emotional regulation and resolution.
Trauma Informed Care
I utilize a trauma-informed approach in all areas of my practice, recognizing the impact of past experiences on current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I prioritize safety, trust, and collaboration while supporting clients in processing trauma and building effective coping strategies within a structured and supportive environment.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I incorporate a person-centered approach by creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I work collaboratively with clients to identify their goals and strengths while supporting their growth and self-awareness throughout the therapeutic process.
