I have a PhD in Psychology and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is licensed in the states of Texas and North Carolina. I have vast amount of experience in addressing Anxiety, PTSD and Depression. I have experience in addressing life experiences, anger management, and marital conflict. My military experience has allowed me to have various approaches to addressing client's needs.

I am dedicated to helping people heal holistically from past traumas, anxiety, depression, anger or relationship challenges. I use a very effective treatment modality called Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help people heal from traumatic memories, negative beliefs about themselves, or past situations in one's life that have caused them emotional pain. In addition, I teach people how to manage their thoughts and emotions using mindfulness, mind/body, meditation practices, and cognitive behavioral methods. I facilitate stress reduction meditations several times weekly on an internet platform for Mindful Leaders. I am a certified AADC in South Carolina. Hello there, I'm Liz! I work with clients who are wanting to heal from past trauma experiences and get to the root causes of their struggles. Trauma changes the way you view yourself, others, and the world. It often has lasting impacts that can be manifested in your current struggles with anxiety, depression, true fulfillment in relationships, diminished executive functioning, and difficulty with honoring your needs and boundaries.
My goal is to help you gain insight, build self-awareness, and foster personal growth. Some areas of focus I enjoy addressing with my clients include boundary building, negative core beliefs, strengthening internal validation, self-care, identifying trauma responses, addressing attachment wounds, aligning to your values, improving daily functioning, and developing healthy coping strategies.
I am trained in a variety of therapeutic models and techniques to help my clients including but not limited to Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Polyvagal Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I hold EMDR and talk therapy sessions with clients who struggle with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and difficulty navigating challenges and transitions. However, I specialize in perinatal mental health, infertility, and EMDR. In addition, I run a support group for women struggling with infertility.
Through additional training and certifications, I have and continue to develop a variety of tools to support you, and I may use different techniques during our work together. Accordingly, my approach is best described as client-centered and strengths-based, drawing also on theories and strategies of cognitive-behavioral therapy.
When I am not practicing as a therapist, I am spending time with my family. We love to stuff our faces with tasty food and find new adventures. I also dabble in wedding photography as a creative outlet. But generally, you will find me advocating for women struggling with infertility and all the experiences it brings.
