Welcome! I'm Sarah! Your story matters. You have value. I don't want you to walk through this pain alone. I work with females who want to work on anxiety, people-pleasing, insecure attachment, emotional regulation, perfectionism, communication, setting boundaries, grief, comparison, self-compassion, shame, building confidence, divorce, health struggles, relational concerns, navigating breakups, practicing self-care, and building a healthy relationship with yourself and others. Whatever is hurting or aching must be tended to. I am a warm, Christian therapist who focuses on creating a space where you can share the painful parts of your story as well as feel supported through practical tools and new perspectives to move forward. In the first few minutes of each session, I teach a tool. These tools have been extremely helpful for me and my clients, so I am passionate to share them and find my clients make more progress! Then I check in with you on what you would like to process for that day. After you share, I focus on processing your feelings and the situation as well as sharing my perspectives and tools. As a mental health professional for over twenty-five years, I am dedicated to helping clients explore options and strategies so that they may live a healthier and happier life. I provide compassionate care and counseling to individuals in Illinois, Missouri and Florida via Telehealth. I possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work specializing in Mental Health and Addictions. I also have completed a Master of Business Administration Degree focused on Healthcare Management. I am a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoy spending time with my family, fishing, camping and traveling. I have extensive experience in Leadership and Direct Care positions within Inpatient and Outpatient Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Recovery and Rehabilitation facilities. As a result of those experiences, I witnessed and truly believe mental health and addiction recovery is possible. As we each experience our life’s journey, the good, bad, and ugly, we continue to learn and grow along the way. Many journeys will include troubled times resulting in anxiety, mood disorders, grief, loss, parenting difficulties, relationship issues, addictions and other challenges along the way. But most will also include exciting and positive times such as graduations, college, marriage, career advancements, births, relocations, new homes, new friends, and many more. Although positive, adjustment to these experiences may also result in a need for support during the transition. As a Social Worker, my approach will focus on the whole individual to identify other factors contributing to the current problem. This will include past and current relationships, health issues, work, living and social environments. My goal is to help clients find hope, joy and peace. They will achieve this by learning to view problems differently and using healthy coping skills to make changes and adjust to a new normal.

Hi there, I'm Kristen. I'm a marriage and family therapist, which means that I come at clients' problems as a product of each person's individual system and the others in their lives. Every issue has a cause, but whether we can identify that cause or not, we still have to find a way forward. I help clients determine for themselves what they want to do. I come at each problem from a biopsychosocial-spiritual viewpoint. This means that every issue we deal with is influenced by our biological health, our psychological well being, our social resources, and our spiritual connection to the world around us. That gives us four different ways to address our stressors and four different paths to utilize when needed. I'm biblically trained, so I can help clients with religious or spiritual abuse, or help you rely on your spirituality to identify coping skills that will work for you. Some of my clients are not interested in spirituality, so we don't include spiritual practices in their work. Others want to focus efforts on spiritual practices, so we rely heavily in that area for them. Each client is unique, and each treatment plan is different. I see clients individually, in couples, or families depending on the need and the focus of their treatment. I'm available Monday through Thursday and have sessions as late as 8 pm.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), a Bangladeshi American and Multicultural Woman, a daughter of two immigrants, an older sister, a pet-mom of two adorable cats, an artist, a singer, a 200 RYT certified yogini, a writer, a vegetarian, and a trauma psychotherapist who inspires healing through the arts. I strive to help you speak your untold truths so that you can begin to feed your hearts. In working with my clients, I found that healing is unequivocally about feeding our hearts with what brings us peace and ESPECIALLY what brings us joy. We all struggle to show up as ourselves—even I do as I am writing this—but I have chosen to unapologetically be myself so that you can be seen the way you deserve to be seen. For me, and for many of my clients, feeding ourselves with acts of joy are a personal and communal healing movement.

In my experience as a counselor, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of individuals in various settings. I have worked with children and adults in the community, residential, hospital, and educational settings. In each environment I have witnessed the marvel of human potential firsthand. As a clinician I approach people and the work that I do from the belief that people have the innate ability to grow and heal on their own. My personal life experience and my practice have fostered this belief, recognizing that the process may require or be made more manageable with some assistance or a guide, in the form of counseling. Through my experiences I have witnessed the benefits of the human components that aid in the healing process of psychological symptoms that create difficulty in moving toward fulfillment and full integration of the human experience in the lives of many. The therapeutic relationship, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard are components that for me represent the core of therapy. These components create an experience in which someone can safely explore themselves, their experiences, the world around them, and identify solutions to ailments and the "true self" that is often altered by the world around us.

Hi, I’m Dr. DeAnna (Dee) Brookhart. If you’re here, chances are life feels heavier than it should. Maybe stress won’t let up, anxiety keeps you on edge, or sadness has dulled your energy. Perhaps your relationship feels strained, or addiction has taken more space than you want it to. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to carry it by yourself. I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois, Wisconsin and Utah, and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor with nearly 30 years of experience. Over the years, I’ve supported individuals, couples, and families through struggles like anxiety, depression, addiction, marital or couples issues, workplace trauma, and the challenges of blended family life. I also work with clients navigating personality struggles or the lasting effects of stress and trauma. My approach is warm and collaborative. We’ll clarify what matters most to you, set realistic goals, and work at a pace that feels safe. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused strategies — always adapted to your needs. Sessions with me often include open conversation, practical coping tools, encouragement, and sometimes even humor when it helps ease the weight. I see healing as holistic. That means looking at not only your thoughts and emotions, but also how stress shows up in your body, how you connect with others, and how your daily habits shape your well-being. I work best with adults and couples ready to make changes, even if they’re not sure where to start. Outside the office, I love cooking, reading, traveling to the beach, and spending time with my family. I have ADORABLE grandkids! And of course Charlie, my Golden Retriever. If you’re ready to feel lighter, find clarity, and rebuild what matters most, I’d be honored to walk that path with you.

I have 20 years of experience working with adults and adolescents from all walks of life. My expertise is in substance abuse, depression, relationships, family concerns, trauma and PTSD. I know sometimes people go through difficult times. They think something’s wrong with them because they have problems. Nothing could be further from the truth. Having difficulties is part of the human experience. Many people pretend they’re okay when they’re not. They keep all their pain and suffering to themselves. They’re afraid if they tell the truth, they’ll be abandoned and rejected. Therapy can open the door for you to stop pretending you’re “fine.” You can find the freedom to be you. Therapy can help you to come out of isolation and start living again. You'll start to feel better because you're showing the real you and you're connecting with someone. Your therapist can be a “loving witness to your pain.”

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
