I am an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. When you and your therapist feel that your therapy might benefit from a course of mental health medication, I can assist with the medication management. I use prescription drugs, over-the-counter supplements, and specialized lab tests to help with choosing the best medication for a specific patient. Note that I do not at this time offer assistance with opioid or benzodiazepine prescriptions, substance use disorders, care of persons with intellectual or developmental disorders, or medication management during pregnancy. My secure telehealth software is ZOOM, and I will send a ZOOM link after an appointment is confirmed. The initial appointment is about 60 minutes but follow-up meetings are only about 20-30 minutes. I call each person who makes an online appointment for an initial consultation to discuss what services are needed; after that call and after obtaining some additional information, I will confirm the initial appointment. Follow-up appointments, cancellations, postponements, etc., are made directly with me, not online.
