Meredith Ximines-Mullings
I'm a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience in healthcare. I understand life does not always follow the path we planned. Sometimes we feel stuck, overwhelmed or just uncertain about what comes next in life. Sometimes we have to adjust, rebuild and learn to thrive in unfamiliar environment which is easier said than done. Experiences shape how we connect with people from different background and ages, who have also experienced different challenges, strengths and goals. My goal is to meet you where you are and work alongside you to create a realistic path forward. Together, we can work toward stability, confidence and overall wellness, helping you to feel yourself again.
First session
Your first session will be a getting to know you session. Don't be surprised if we talk a little bit about your hobbies, the name of your pet or that important person in your life. I will take time to listen attentively, maintain appropriate eye-contact, you will have my undivided attention- this is your time! We'll also be completing screenings in a conversational way, which other clients have reported took away all their fear and anxieties which they had prior to the appointment.
Strengths
Having lived and practiced in three countries and cared for people from diverse cultures, I bring a culturally informed perspective to mental health care. I'm genuinely interested in your life story, what you have experienced and how that has shaped where you are today. We'll explore your strengths and areas you are working to improve. You'll be the center of your care.
