Restoring Balance Through Strength-Based Therapy Hello! I’m a Minnesota-based LPCC with over 15 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s most difficult transitions. I specialize in working with youth, parents of adopted children, and individuals facing anxiety, relationship challenges, or adjusting to life's challenges. My therapy style is deeply collaborative and inclusive. By blending Gestalt and family systems with a solution-focused lens, I help you identify your innate strengths to overcome the "stuck" points in your life. We will work together to develop timely, action-oriented strategies designed to help you regain your footing, establish healthy boundaries, and live your most balanced life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my practice is the balance of deep, inclusive empathy with a highly practical roadmap for change. I believe therapeutic success happens when a client feels truly 'met'—seen and heard without judgment—while also having a clear sense of where they are going. We won't just talk about the 'stuck' points; we will collaboratively build a toolkit of actionable goals that respect your unique history while focusing on your restoration.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve individuals who are ready to move beyond just 'talking about' their problems and are motivated to engage meaningfully in the work of healing. My ideal clients are often those who feel 'stuck' in old patterns—whether that is through anxiety, relationship challenges, or behavioral struggles—and are seeking a therapist who is both a compassionate listener and an active collaborator. If you are looking for a space where your strengths are recognized and you're ready to develop practical, action-oriented strategies for balance, we will work well together.

Michael was the frist therapist I've ahd and he's been absolutely wonderful at getting me up to speed on how therapy can be useful; how it may be different for each person and how the importance is get out of it what you're putting in. I couldn't have been more lucky to have Michael as my first therapist.
