Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have years of experience working with adolescents and adults, whether in the community setting or hospital setting. I am bilingual in Spanish which helps me reach those clients that may not otherwise find someone they can talk to about their problems or current issues. I am here to be supportive, guide you along the way and find interventions that help you reach your full potential.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, a client can expect for me to review the counseling process to help ease nervousness he/she/they may be experiencing. I will go over administrative tasks, policies, and complete a biopsychosocial intake assessment. Once we complete this part, we can discuss treatment plan and goals, frequency of sessions and expectations.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel some of my strengths as a provider include being supportive, empathetic, compassionate about helping clients but also empowering clients to help themselves along the way. I encourage and motivate my clients to increase what is working for them, to increase self-awareness and self-care. I remind clients that it can be a challenging process, to take small steps and that practice makes progress!

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I have used this treatment method for many years as I want to empower and motivate each client in the therapeutic process. I am here to support, guide you and empower you along the way to reach your full potential.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past ten years. It’s helped clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
