I would describe myself as warm, compassionate, genuine, and a little goofy. I believe therapy doesn’t always have to feel heavy or clinical, and I’m not afraid to laugh with my clients when the moment calls for it. I want you to feel like you can show up as your authentic self in our sessions. My approach is person-centered, which means I meet you where you are and believe you are the expert on your own life. I’m not here to tell you who you should be or what you should do. Instead, I’m here to listen, help you make sense of what you’re experiencing, and support you in finding what works best for you. I bring curiosity, empathy, and a nonjudgmental attitude into the therapy room. I also believe that meaningful therapy can include both honest conversations and moments of humor. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself while having someone genuinely in your corner as you work toward the changes you want to make.

First session

My goal for the first session is for you to leave feeling heard, respected, and a little clearer about how therapy can support you. We will focus on building a comfortable and supportive therapeutic relationship by getting to know one another, not as a client and therapist, but as unique individuals. Then, we will talk about what brings you into therapy, what you would like to work towards, and your expectations in the therapy space. Collaboratively, we will develop a plan on how to navigate and maximize our work together.

Strengths

What makes my approach stand out is the combination of my professional training and the personal experiences that have shaped how I understand healing. My own experiences have given me a deeper appreciation for how difficult it can be to navigate life’s challenges, relationships, and past experiences, and they have strengthened my belief that everyone deserves a space where they feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. I bring warmth, empathy, and authenticity into the therapy room while also drawing from evidence-based approaches, including my training in EMDR. I believe therapy should be collaborative and tailored to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I’m especially passionate about helping clients work through trauma, attachment wounds, and family-of-origin experiences. My personal experiences allow me to approach clients with compassion and without judgment, while my professional training helps me provide the structure and clinical support needed to help clients move toward meaningful change. My goal is to create a space where clients can feel safe exploring their experiences, better understand themselves, and develop the tools and confidence to move forward.

Ideal clients

My ideal clients are adults and young adults who may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves or those around them. You may be someone who has spent a lot of time taking care of everyone else while struggling to make space for yourself. Maybe you understand that your past is affecting your present, but you're not quite sure how to move forward. You may be looking for a safe, nonjudgmental space to begin to better understand yourself, heal from past experiences, and live a life that feels more aligned with your values and your most authentic self. If you resonate with any of these feelings, you have come to the right place, and I look forward to walking alongside you in the journey to meaningful healing.

Treatment methods

EMDR

Depending on your goals, we can work collaboratively to prepare for and utilize the EMDR protocol to process past experiences and patterns that no longer serve you in order to move towards healing and living your most authentic life.
