About me

Hi I'm Lauren and I believe therapy should feel comfortable, collaborative, and tailored to you! My goal is to help you build insight, resilience, and confidence while creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are, explore what's holding you back, and move toward the life you want to live. I view therapy as a partnership. My role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences while feeling challenged and encouraged to grow. My approach is warm, authentic, and individualized, helping you build on your strengths, develop coping skills, and create meaningful change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your concerns, history, and goals, and you’re welcome to share at your own pace. We’ll also begin identifying what you’d like to work on so you leave with a sense of direction and support!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My path to becoming a therapist was deeply personal. Going through a divorce led me to seek therapy, where I experienced firsthand the impact of being truly supported and understood. My therapist encouraged me to pursue this field, and I felt called to help others find the same healing, clarity, and strength in their own lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is a teen, young adult, or adult who feels overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, parenting demands, or emotional exhaustion. They may be the person everyone else relies on while quietly struggling with overthinking, self-doubt, or burnout. They're ready to move beyond simply coping and want practical tools to create lasting change. They value a warm, authentic, and nonjudgmental therapist who combines compassion with evidence-based approaches to help them build confidence, healthier relationships, emotional resilience, and greater peace. Whether seeking support for anxiety, divorce, women's issues, or personal growth, they are motivated to invest in their mental health and create a more balanced, fulfilling life.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

Attachment-based therapy explores how your early relationships and life experiences may influence the way you relate to yourself and others today. Together, we'll identify patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships with curiosity and compassion. By increasing self-awareness and building a safe therapeutic relationship, we can work toward developing healthier coping skills, stronger emotional regulation, and more secure, fulfilling connections with others.

EMDR

EMDR is a therapy that helps your brain process difficult or overwhelming experiences that may still be affecting you today. Sometimes our minds can become "stuck" on painful memories, making it harder to move forward. Using guided eye movements, tapping, or other forms of bilateral stimulation, we'll help your brain process these experiences so they feel less overwhelming. The goal is to reduce emotional distress, strengthen your confidence, and help you respond to the present with greater ease and resilience.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered therapy is based on the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. Together, we'll build on your strengths, increase self-awareness, and help you find solutions that feel authentic and meaningful to you. The goal is to support your personal growth, build confidence, and help you create the changes you want in your life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Sometimes unhelpful thinking patterns can keep us feeling stuck or make life's challenges feel more overwhelming. Together, we'll identify these patterns, learn practical coping skills, and develop new ways of thinking and responding that better support your goals. The goal is to help you feel more confident, balanced, and equipped to handle everyday challenges.
