Greetings! Emotional well-being is just as important to me as breathing, so let’s start your journey to self-discovery and wellness together! My name is Sydney Royes and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I have a Master’s Degree from Howard University and I believe that if you are seeking answers and understanding, you should be afforded the opportunity for reflection and growth.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, and then we can dive into what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve with our time together. Gaining a better understanding of your goals and challenges, helps me create a tailor-made plan for us to work through in our upcoming sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a licensed therapist, I use a strength-based approach to educate and empower the client to make the changes to restore their equilibrium and foster growth.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

The years I spent working as part of a multidisciplinary team afforded me the opportunity to hone my motivational interviewing, active listening, and nonverbal communication skills. My goal is to create a therapeutic environment where the client and I can work together to address their particular areas of struggle.
