My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I use a strengths-based approach by focusing on my clients' inherent abilities, past successes, and unique qualities to empower them in overcoming challenges. By identifying and building upon their strengths, I help clients develop resilience and self-confidence, fostering a sense of capability and hope. This approach emphasizes collaboration, celebrating progress, and creating personalized strategies that align with the client’s values and goals.

Couples Counseling

In couples counseling, I focus on fostering open communication, mutual understanding, and emotional connection between partners. I utilize evidence-based approaches, such as the Gottman Method, to help couples identify and address conflict patterns, build trust, and enhance intimacy. By creating a safe and nonjudgmental space, I guide couples in exploring their needs, improving problem-solving skills, and strengthening their relationship dynamics to promote lasting connection and growth.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) by helping clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns and beliefs that contribute to their emotional distress and maladaptive behaviors. Through structured techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral experiments, and skill-building exercises, I guide clients in developing healthier coping mechanisms and adaptive ways of thinking. This evidence-based approach empowers clients to break the cycle of unhelpful thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, fostering personal growth and emotional well-being.

Motivational Interviewing

I use motivational interviewing by creating a nonjudgmental and empathetic space where clients feel heard and understood, helping them explore their ambivalence toward change. Through open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirmations, I guide clients to recognize their intrinsic motivations and build their confidence in taking steps toward their goals. This collaborative approach emphasizes their autonomy and supports them in discovering solutions that align with their values and readiness for change.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use a person-centered approach by creating a supportive and empathetic environment where clients feel heard, valued, and respected. By prioritizing their experiences and perspectives, I empower clients to take an active role in their healing journey. This approach emphasizes unconditional positive regard, empathy, and authenticity, fostering a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and goals at their own pace.
