New to Grow
Hello! I am happy you made it to this corner of the therapy world and looking forward to working together! I am southern raised and more on the extroverted side by nature. With this comes with me being soft in my approach and also direct in challenging you throughout your healing journey. I enjoy some laughter sprinkled in sessions as I believe healing doesn't always have to be 100% heavy only. I take a collaborative approach in therapy and want sessions to meet you where you're at each session.
Our first session will be more of a formal structure as we will be completing initial paperwork together. We will follow this by collaboratively setting goals together to create a clear vision of a treatment plan. Sessions moving forward are more organic and we move sessions at the pace you are comfortable with.
I receive feedback frequently that sessions feel like a safe space to come as your are and simultaneously direct in my therapy approach when challenging you. I am highly trauma trained and utilize Accelerated Resolution Therapy, EMDR, and IFS therapies when targeting trauma healing. I enjoy interweaving somatic therapy and mindfulness practices as well. I very much have an organic approach to therapy and meet you where you're at with the tools needed for that session.
This is an open space for any client to find the healing they need. I have spend the majority of my career specializing in trauma and relationship challenges. I am LGBTQA+ friendly, very familiar with ADHD, and enjoy couples work. Clients who want a safe space to drop their guard and also challenged to grow out of their comfort zone will align well great in my office space. While I am focused on therapy goals I also think interweaving humor as well! While we will do hard work I also want to celebrate your wins and growth! I
