About me

Hi, I'm Cortne. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked across community mental health, hospitals, crisis intervention, medical social work, and behavioral health leadership. I've had the privilege of supporting adults through some of life's most difficult moments. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by stress, grieving a loss, healing from trauma, navigating a major life transition, or simply feeling stuck, you don't have to face it alone. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation with someone who genuinely listens, understands, and meets you where you are. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe exploring your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. If faith or spirituality is an important part of your life, I'm happy to thoughtfully incorporate those values into our work together in a way that feels meaningful to you. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the resilience people carry—even when they may not see it themselves. Together, we'll identify practical strategies that fit your life while building on your strengths so you can move forward with greater confidence and hope.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and that's completely understandable. Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I'll want to learn about what's bringing you to therapy, what you've been experiencing, what's important to you, and what you hope to gain from our work together. There is no pressure to share everything at once. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we'll begin identifying your goals and develop a plan that feels realistic, supportive, and personalized to your needs. My hope is that you'll leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and encouraged that positive change is possible.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Life doesn't always go as planned, and many people come to therapy after experiencing unexpected challenges that leave them feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or uncertain about what's next. My approach combines compassion with practical problem-solving, helping clients process difficult emotions while developing realistic strategies for lasting change. I meet clients where they are, honor their unique experiences, and work collaboratively to help them reconnect with their strengths, discover hope, and move forward with greater confidence. I respect each client's unique beliefs and values. For clients who desire it, I can thoughtfully integrate faith and spirituality into therapy as a source of strength, hope, and healing while using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Whether you're coping with grief, anxiety, trauma, caregiver stress, burnout, or a major life transition, you don't have to face it alone. If your faith or spirituality is an important part of your life, we can incorporate those beliefs into therapy in a way that supports your healing and personal growth. Many of my clients are balancing work, family, or health challenges while trying to care for everyone else. Together, we'll work to help you feel more grounded, strengthen your resilience, and move forward with greater confidence and hope.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we'll identify unhelpful thinking patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and build practical coping skills that support lasting change. CBT can be especially helpful for managing anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify their strengths, build on what's already working, and take practical steps toward meaningful change. Together, we'll focus on solutions, achievable goals, and creating progress that fits your life.
