My name is Bobbiann Shufelt and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addictions Counselor, a Certified Dementia Practitioner, a Community Residential Care Facility Administrator, and a Certified Tier 3 trained Military Counselor. I am a Clinical Mental Health professional with over 25 years of experience and leadership skills. As a therapist I've worked with a wide range of clients and have counseled individuals, couples, families, children, and adolescents. I have run community mental health centers, substance abuse programs, prison programs, and a successful private practice office. I have worked with clients on issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, grief, trauma, PTSD, substance abuse, military deployment and reintegration, and self-esteem. I am trained as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist who was taught by the Master himself, Albert Ellis. In my spare time, I love to bake and I own a small on line bakery named Sweet Cream Treats. I also love to hike, spend time with family and friends, and travel. My goal is to empower my clients to recognize their own inner strengths and make the best decisions they can in any situation, while managing the symptoms of their diagnoses.
My goal is to leave my clients with hope, care and comfort, while tackling any issues that need to be managed.
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in session while still maintaining the compassion client's need to face their symptoms.
My biggest strengths are that I love people, I feel a calling to assist where needed, and I respect everyone who seeks services from me. My population ages range from 10 to 100. I love working with those who understand that therapy takes time and means work before things will better, but still have the desire to make change.
