(she/her)
Hey there! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in the states of California, Arizona, and Washington. I obtained my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Loma Linda University and have a decade of diverse experience providing services to clients of varying age groups. I have worked in nonprofit, private practice, primary care, and acute care medical settings. As a therapist I consider it an honor to navigate life alongside my clients and enjoy creating a therapeutic space that is warm, compassionate, and empowering. My approach is an eclectic blend of therapeutic perspectives, evidenced based practices, and environmental considerations tailored to address your unique needs. I am passionate about therapy being a collaborative process and often incorporate mindfulness based techniques, thought exercises, practical problem solving, curiosity, and humor into my sessions. Additionally, I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) which allows me to assist in exploring how painful past experiences may be negatively impacting your current functioning. My areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, work/school stress, life transitions, self-esteem, and grief support. My sincere hope is that working together will facilitate self-discovery and healing, resulting in greater enjoyment of your everyday life. *Please note, I am unable to assist w/paperwork including disability forms, court docs, school forms, etc.*
In our first session we will spend time getting to know one another to see if we are a good fit. I'll be asking questions about the problems you are facing and you'll get a chance to see if you feel comfortable with my style. We will then create a plan for our future sessions together.
Clients who have worked with me in the past have expressed feeling comfortable, accepted, and supported.
My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, panic, relational trauma, work and school stress, perfectionism, life transitions, self-esteem, and grief support. I specialize in working with college or graduate students, young professionals, anxious achievers, and millennials.
Examining the interplay between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors allows us to identify unhelpful thought processes. We can examine better ways to engage with our thoughts, in order to impact how we feel and what we do.
By using DBT concepts we will explore emotional regulation skills, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness tools.
Therapy is not a one-sized fit all approach! I frequently incorporate skills from a variety of evidenced based practices, tailored to meet your individual circumstances and personality.
