About me

I am dually licensed as a mental health counselor (LMHC), clinical addictions counselor (LCAC), and I am a Board Certified Tele-Mental Health Provider (BC-TMH). My clinical work is driven by empathy, collaboration, empowerment, connection, and the belief that each client can transform and reach their highest potential. With a compassionate and dedicated approach, I specialize in perinatal mood disorders, co-occurring disorders, substance use, trauma, and anxiety. I am deeply committed to supporting individuals on their journey toward emotional well-being and healing. I have experience working with a wide range of mental health and substance use challenges, ranging from mild to severe symptoms. I utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and person-centered therapy. I value my clients' cultural world and strive to create space for culture in the therapeutic process. My educational background is in psychology/neuroscience (BA), clinical mental health counseling (MA), and I am currently working on my doctorate degree in counselor education and supervision where I am focused on education, leadership, supervision, and research within the field of counseling.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

You can expect to walk away having all information you need about my practice so you can make the best decision for you. It's important that we begin to establish rapport, trust, and that you walk away feeling like you made a good choice. You can expect me to gather information about different areas of your life (mental, emotional, social, recreational, professional, family history, etc.) I really want to learn about you so I can have an understanding of who you are and how I can help you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Ability to connect, empathy, strong clinical skills, and committed to learning to better serve my clients.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with all young women (especially passionate about serving BIPOC women) who are on a journey of self-discovery, who may feel stuck, lacking meaningfulness and purpose, and may be trying to "do away with" traditional norms, societal expectations and create an authentic life for themselves. I enjoy helping my clients to create a vision for what they want their life to be like, helping them establish a routine and rituals that promote their well-being, and teaching them skills that help them to cope with internal and external challenges, and overall to have better insight.
