Paige Hoover

LPC4 years of experience

Hi! My name is Paige Hoover. I've been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2025 and have been working as an outpatient mental health therapist since 2022. I am certified in providing Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Somatic Therapy. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing symptoms related to anxiety and depression, those who have a history of trauma, and those struggling with life transitions. I believe that therapy is meant to be a safe and nonjudgmental space where you are free to be your most authentic self. My approach to therapy is to meet you where you are, get to know who you are, and work alongside with you to develop a plan that works best for you.

First session

Our first session will be about gathering information - for both of us! What brings you to therapy and what goals you have. I am open to answering any questions you may have as well about what the therapeutic process may look like or what approaches I take. Therapy begins by building a connection, and my hope is that you will leave our first session feeling heard and feeling that you have the ability to heal!

Strengths

Just as I welcome my clients to show up to sessions as their true authentic selves, you will find me doing the same. I believe that this is how my clients and myself feel the most comfortable. I will also pull from many evidenced-based therapeutic approaches in our sessions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Approaches, and Motivational Interviewing to help lead you to accomplishing your goals and living the life you want.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone who is ready to take the next step towards therapy and work towards their goals. They may be someone who is struggling with anxiety, depression, symptoms of trauma, and/or life transitions who are looking for support and learning new skills to navigate life's challenges. My ideal client will also be open to reflecting inwards at themselves so that growth and positive change can occur.

Treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I have different modalities I pull from, but Person-Centered is what I gravitate towards first and foremost as well as all throughout our sessions together. I can't help you if I don't know you as your entire self. I will meet you where you are and from there, we will develop a plan that works best for you, together.

Somatic

Somatic Therapy is when we bring attention to distressing feelings in the body. By being mindful of what our bodies are telling us, we are able to develop healthier coping skills to reduce the tension we may be experiencing.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is used to challenge or reframe negative or anxious thought patterns and connect how our thoughts influence our feelings and behaviors. CBT is helpful in reducing anxiety and depression by identifying triggering thought patterns and learning to reframe those patterns into healthy ones.
