New to Grow
My name is Monica Rosa, I'am Cape Verdean American and I have been in the social work field for over 10 years now. I believe my upbringing and my life experiences have shaped the person I'am today. I have worked in multiple settings such as schools, hospitals, and in the home which has given me a range of diverse skills in working with different populations and situations. I provide compassionate individual therapy for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and life stressors. I am committed to creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. My approach is client-centered, collaborative, and focused on helping individuals build healthy coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and achieve personal growth.
During a client's first session they can expect an open forum where clients can discuss their worries, fears, and expectations when it comes to therapy. Clients will be able to talk about what goals they want to work on and what they want therapy to look like for them.
What makes me unique is my versatility due to the many different populations and age ranges I have worked with. My approach is client centered based which I believe is important in therapy as clients should be involved in their treatment.
I'm best positioned to serve clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, and life stressors. Clients who are willing to work on coping skills and to use them. Clients who want to be more involved with their treatment and what they would like to work on. Clients who ask questions and let me know what is working for them and what is not working for them.
