(he/him)
Hello, thank you for clicking on my profile. My name is Jon, and I am an LCSW offering telehealth sessions, hoping to support people working through anxiety, depression, and trauma with a grounded, compassionate presence. I have had opportunities to work in multiple settings and have been able to provide support to many clients over the past six years. I hope that you feel seen, safe, and understood as we explore what’s weighing on you and help you reconnect with your own strength, clarity, and sense of possibility. As a visually impaired therapist, I bring both lived experience and clinical training to my work. My primary focus is to help adults manage anxiety, depression, trauma, and disability-related stress using CBT, solution-focused, humanistic, and trauma-informed approaches, with a focus on practical strategies, resilience, and meaningful change.
During the first session, my main goal is just an introduction and getting to learn from your lived experience. I aim to develop a positive environment where you can feel comfortable and able to build upon.
Throughout my time and opportunities as a therapist, I have focused primarily on developing a strong therapeutic relationship, focus on recognizing the complexities of neurodivergence, and taking small steps to build into major change.
My ideal client is someone who feels overwhelmed by the weight of anxiety, burnout, trauma, or the daily chaos of navigating ADHD in a world that isn’t built for it. You might feel stuck in cycles of stress, tired of masking, or struggling to manage a physical condition or disability alongside your mental health. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out—my ideal client is simply open to exploring new tools, developing self-compassion, and taking small, manageable steps toward feeling grounded, capable, and understood.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented form of talk therapy centered on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are deeply interconnected. It helps individuals identify and challenge negative or distorted thought patterns that cause emotional distress or lead to unhelpful habits. By actively reframing these thoughts, people can change how they feel and adopt healthier, more adaptive behaviors to cope with life's challenges. It is a highly practical, short-term approach that focuses on equipping individuals with actionable tools to manage their current mental well-being.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an action-oriented form of psychotherapy that encourages people to embrace their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting or feeling guilty about them. It teaches individuals to practice mindfulness to accept the realities of life's challenges while developing psychological flexibility to handle difficult emotions. Instead of trying to eliminate painful thoughts, the focus shifts toward clarifying your personal core values. Ultimately, it empowers people to commit to meaningful, positive actions that enrich their lives and align with what truly matters to them.
Trauma Informed Care
Trauma-Informed Care is a compassionate framework that changes the fundamental question from "What is wrong with you?" to "What happened to you?" It acknowledges how widespread trauma is and actively seeks to understand its profound impact on a person's emotional, neurological, and physical well-being. By integrating this understanding into every aspect of care, it creates environments that prioritize physical and emotional safety, trustworthiness, and transparency. The goal is to empower individuals, avoid re-traumatization, and support sustainable healing through collaboration and shared decision-making.

Jon made me feel comfortable and relaxed to open up about my childhood and past traumas. An already difficult conversation was made easy with his warm approach and I will definitely be choosing him as my therapist.
