My name is Chelsey Mondy and I am a PMHNP who has a passion for helping others on their mental health journey. This journey is unique to every client so my role is to help determine your goals for treatment and formulate a treatment plan that helps you reach those goals. I provide patient centered, individualized care where clients are encouraged to be an active participant in a treatment plan that not only includes medication, but addresses the client's concerns, mind, body, and soul.
In our first session, you can expect an in depth assessment that consists of past treatment, a medical history and physical, current symptoms that need to be addressed, and your wishes for your treatment outcomes. I use this appointment to get to know one another and explain my expectations for my clients, as well as understand your unique experience on your mental health journey.
I feel my greatest strengths as a provider are my listening skills and empathy. I provide clients with an opportunity to voice concerns about treatment and become an active part of their treatment plan. I do not take a "one size fits all" approach and want the client to be heard and feel that they are receiving the care that is not only appropriate for symptom management, but one they feel comfortable and confident engaging in.
The clients that will benefit most from my services are clients who are looking to better their mental health through a combination of therapy and medication management. Additionally, I feel that I am better able to help clients who have had poor experiences in the past to feel heard and validated in their care so they feel more confident moving ahead with medication, if warranted. I am not a good fit for clients who are seeking or are currently on controlled substances as I do not prescribe them.
Chelsey Mondy offers therapy covered by Medicaid - Peach State Health Plan and Peach State Health Plan (Managed Medicaid) in Georgia.
My primary goal role is to provide medication management with some supportive therapy as warranted. I DO NOT prescribe controlled substances (this includes benzodiazepines, stimulants, or medications like Ambien).
