About me

Your Body Holds the Story. Let's Rewrite the Next Chapter Together. As a trauma-informed mental health therapist, I operate on a foundational truth: the body keeps the score. I help you process trauma and complex emotions by integrating movement into the healing journey, guiding the nervous system back to homeostasis. My passion is born from lived experiences. As a survivor who has intimately known anxiety, depression, grief and loss, I provide a fiercely safe, non-judgemental space for you to heal. Growth requires work, but you don't have to face the challenges alone. Let's collaborate to move through the stuck points, restore your inner balance, and empower you to live your most authentic, joyful life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Taking the first step toward therapy is a powerful choice, but it’s completely normal to feel a little nervous before your initial appointment. Knowing what to expect can help ease those jitters. Think of our first session as a collaborative "getting to know you" conversation rather than a rigid interview. There are no "right" answers in therapy, and you don’t need to have anything figured out before you arrive. My primary goal for our first session is simply to create a safe, non-judgmental space where we can see if we are a good fit for working together. Exploring Your Background: To help me understand the bigger picture, we may chat a bit about your personal history, your relationships, your lifestyle, and any past experiences with therapy. Defining Your Goals: We will talk about what you hope to gain from our time together. Whether you have a specific goal in mind (like managing anxiety) or a general desire for change, we will clarify what progress looks like for you. Asking Questions: This is also a space for you to interview me. You can ask about my therapeutic approach, my style, or what future sessions will look like.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Why My Background Matters For Your Healing Trauma-Informed & Nurturing (The Mother’s Heart): True healing requires safety. I bring a maternal warmth to our sessions, ensuring you feel deeply cared for as we gently unpack trauma at a pace that respects your nervous system. Direct & Action-Oriented (The Military Edge): Therapy with me is active. Drawing from my military background, I bring transparency, structure, and a mission-focused mindset to help you cut through the noise and take measurable steps forward. Sacred Space for Grief (The Shared Journey): Loss changes us. I don't pressure you to "get over it." Instead, I hold sacred space for your grief, honoring your feelings while helping you discover how to continue living a meaningful life with pain. Advocacy for the Oppressed (The Safe Sanctuary): Systemic oppression inflicts its own deep trauma. I am fiercely committed to providing validation, safety, and advocacy for women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ clients. You don't have to mask, explain or defend your existence here.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Who I Walk Alongside I work with individuals of all ages and from all walks of life, but my clients usually share a common thread: they are the ones who carry the weight of the world on their shoulders. You might be the person everyone else leans on—the fixer, the strong friend, the reliable partner—leaving you with no one to unload your own burdens onto. You are likely feeling bone-deep weary, tired of fighting, and unseen by the very people you love. I specialize in holding space for those who feel invisible in their relationships and are longing for a genuine, deep connection. I also work with resilient souls who have stood at the edge, attempted to end their life, and are now bravely trying to figure out why they are still here and what their purpose is. If you are exhausted, carrying too much, and searching for meaning amidst the pain, you are exactly who I built my practice for.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT allows us opportunities for growth by by learning how to accept difficult thoughts instead of fighting them. Allow feelings to arise, sit with them, then learn how to detach all the while staying aware in the here and now.

Mind-body approach

Mind-body allows us to shift from fight or flight into a calm relaxed state.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Most widely used therapy approach where we challenge how our negative thoughts, feelings and behaviors are connected.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT allows us to stay present and aware in mindfulness practices while developing coping skills to survive painful, high-stress situations without judgement. Once we can identify & understand these intense emotions we set boundaries to maintain positive relationships with ourselves and others.

Grief Therapy

Grief is never something we get over; but together we learn how to walk our journey alongside this ever present partner.
