Do you want to walk away from each session feeling closer to knowing yourself? if you answered yes, then I would like to introduce you to ME, Tameka Bell.
I received my Master's degree from Mississippi College in 2013 and have since provided mental health treatment to a diverse population from adolescents to war veterans. I specialize in issues ranging from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, stress and poor coping, grief, relational counseling, and familial stressors. Utilizing a person centered wraparound approach, I like for each client to take a seat at the wheel of life's car (their life) and bring along people, professionals, and situations that will help them to meet their goals. I regularly utilize the cognitive behavioral approach when assessing any client but will undoubtedly work within the therapeutic approach that best suits each and every client to help with their success.
First session
During our first session, I will brief you about me and answer any questions you may have. I will also seek information about you and what led you to seek therapy and what you hope to get out of services. We will work together on establishing goals and building rapport throughout the therapeutic process.
Strengths
I possess strength in building rapport and getting to the heart of the matter. I am empathetic and do not aim to judge but solely to understand and help alleviate the challenging emotions that currently plague you.
Ideal clients
I am interested in any population but have an affinity for working with African American females dealing with mood disorders as well as learning to navigate they system of life as a woman of color.
