I'm Cathleen a licensed social worker in the state of Michigan. I have been a MSW for over 30 years and practicing therapy for over 10 years. As a therapist I aim to create a safe, judgment free space for self-exploration, discovery, and healing. This is best realized when a client and therapist can work collaboratively. Each of us is a work in progress learning to navigate an ever-changing and complex world. Every stage in our life offers obstacles and hurdles; it is how we respond to them that determines the outcome. In the brilliant words of Ram Dass “We’re all just walking each other home.” It would be my honor and privilege to walk with you on your journey. On a personal note; I love thrifting, cooking vegan food and spending time with my senior rescue dog Gypsy.

Grief is a complex and immensely personal emotion that can present itself in a myriad of ways. I provide a safe , accepting and nurturing space for you to process your thoughts and feelings related to loss. Loss can be experienced in many different ways, it many be the passing of a loved one, the end of a relationship, the loss of employment or the loss of independence we experience in the aging process or due to a health issue. I will assist you in processing your feelings of grief by utilizing techniques and mechanisms and guiding you through the different stages and emotions of grief.
