Jesse Schiavone
Hello, my name is Jesse Schiavone. I have been a licensed professional counselor since 2011, originally licensed in the state of Pennsylvania. Since 2011, I have attained licenses in two other states to include Virginia and Arizona. I have been working in the Mental health field since 1997 in various roles and capacities. I am very passionate about helping clients achieve their goals and helping them get to the place that they feel would be most beneficial for their lives.
First session
Our first session together will consist of a review of your Intake and Initial Assessments. This session will help me get a general background of why you are coming to therapy and for us to explore and establish potential goals that you may want to achieve. You will also get a chance to understand my approach and ask any questions you may have.
Strengths
I've had the privilege of working with many different types of client over the years. I feel this has helped me to establish rapport with my clients rather quickly. I consider my approach to be client-centered, flexible and goal oriented. I favor in-between session work to reinforce what is being considered in therapy. Being a good fit for a client is a great part of my belief in being a competent therapist.
Ideal clients
My ideal clients would be those 18 or older who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and life stressors. Also, clients who are finding difficulty in their personal relationships or are struggling with self-esteem or indecision in their lives would also be a good fit. Lastly, ideal clients would be those that do not mind in-between session work to get the most out of their treatment.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have a utilized CBT for several years and it is the base of my approach; however, there are other modalities that I will also utilize as well.
